NoHostIDAvailable

This error can occur when a Host ID can not be obtained when registering for a license when running a BLM install/admin. A value of NoHostIDAvailable is displayed for the Host ID in the License Registration Information.

The license registration will fail with a “Unable to generate the requested license” error.

This issue is most often caused by trying to register for a license in the BLM install/admin using an invalid installation or on a platform that BASIS does not provide support for. For example, when running the BLM install/admin on Mac using a JVM built for an aarch64 processor as BASIS doesn’t provide a port of the BLM for the aarch64 architecture. Please refer to our PAR for supported BASIS platforms.
