BDT Studio

For BBj 25.00 and higher, the BDT Studio is a standalone application that supersedes the BDT (BASIS Development Toolkit) set of Eclipse plugins. The BDT Studio includes Java 21, Eclipse, and the following BASIS Plug-Ins:

AppBuilder
CodeEditor
WindowBuilder
BBjUtils (Experimental)

Installation Instructions

To install BDT Studio, mark the “BDT Studio” checkbox on the BBj Installer’s Feature Selection screen:

Running BDT Studio

To run BDT Studio, go to <bbj home>/BDTStudio and select the BDTStudio application. For macOS, go to <bbj home> and select the BDTSudio app. After launching, BDT Studio will prompt with a valid BBj installation from <bbjhome>, just like using the Eclipse plugin, along with an existing or new workspace. Once complete, the BDT Studio will be ready for use.
