BASIS International Ltd. seeks an experienced and knowledgeable Account Manager to service key customers and help develop new customer relationships. Account Managers perform a critical role on our sales and marketing team as the primary business contact for our worldwide partner and reseller channels, mostly concentrated in the US and Canada, as well as direct end-user customers for both BASIS and AddonSoftware products and services. BASIS’ wholly owned subsidiary, BASIS Europe Distribution GmbH, serves both the European and French-speaking Canadian markets. Additionally, our Spanish-speaking Latin American market is served by an independent Puerto Rico-based distributor.
The day-to-day account management and customer sales and support needs are mainly handled by self-served custom web applications, video and telephone conference calls, and email communication with customers domestically and English-speaking international entities, predominantly Canada.


Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Mountain Time with an hour for lunch.
  • Primarily work in the office with some flexibility to work from home.
  • Occasional overnight travel to meet face-to-face with customers may be required.

Position description – Account Manager, Full-Time
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position responsible for working with other members of the team to create and maintain online help documentation, technical magazine articles, bulletins and announcements, internal and external communications, documents, presentations, and training materials for BASIS International Ltd. in Albuquerque, NM. The duties of this position include:

  • Providing exceptional service to accounts by explaining product features, understanding and answering product and configuration questions, maintaining and growing various support and reseller/partner contracts, and assisting customers who request professional services for support or development projects.
  • Conducting proactive communication with our customers and prospects to assist them in identifying their needs, and to educate them on our current products and available services that meet these needs.
  • Possessing proven account management skills to maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Administering product price quotations and professional services with Statement Of Work (SOW) proposals to customers.
  • Consulting with customers after sales to quickly resolve issues and to provide ongoing support.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to support and meet the needs of our customers. Handle customer complaints, find solutions for their issues, and maintain a positive relationship between both parties for future business ventures.
  • Working closely with our Customer Service, Professional Services and Technical Support Teams in support of and on behalf of our customers.
  • Playing a significant role on the team conducting BASIS’ annual Technical Conferences (which may be in-person or virtual).
  • Assisting in Webinar production when required (content, editing, presentation).
  • Reporting to the CEO and providing regular communication and feedback on all account activity and progress.

Education – The employee we are looking for has either:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant career field.
  • Or the equivalent of 2-3 years of account management experience in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate discounts and pricing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and is an effective listener.
  • Fluency with spoken and written English. Note that business fluency in Spanish, French, German and/or Dutch would be advantageous.
  • Technical competence with collaborative office productivity apps. BASIS uses the Google Workplace Suite of Apps such as Calendar, Meet, GMail, Chat, Docs and Sheets.
  • A good understanding of the critical importance of customers as advocates for the business, and a consequent desire to serve customers well.
  • The ability to manage the boundary-spanning role of both advocating for the customer and supporting the organization simultaneously.

It would be nice for you to have:

  • Some exposure to spoken and written languages beyond English (our products are sold and supported internationally).
  • Software development knowledge.
  • Experience working with ERP applications.
