SECURITY
Web Server Security
The www.basis.cloud Web server is a secure Web server operating the Apache Web server software. The Web server operates with 128-bit encryption for the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
The digital certificate for the Web server is assigned by GoDaddy. GoDaddy is a recognized standard in establishing a secure environment between your Web browser and our Web site. A GoDaddy electronic certificate insures that you are in contact with www.basis.cloud and not some digital poseur. All data passed during the secure connection are encrypted for security and transferred with no possibility of interception or use for any purpose other than the transaction you intend.
Browser Security
Your browser is also configured to manage a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. Your browser “tells” you when it has established a secure connection by displaying an icon, generally a padlock in the locked position, located in the address bar next to the URL or at the bottom of your browser window.
Another indication that you’re on a secure server is the change from the normal “http:” at the beginning of the URL to “https:” where the “s” indicates a secure connection. By watching for those signs, you can rest assured that your online transaction is indeed secure.
