BBj and BBj ODBC Driver gets “Required connection information missing. Unable to connect”

Description:

Trying to open a connection to the data base, the following error is received: 

Error Type: Microsoft OLD DB Provider for ODBC Driver 
[bASIS][BBj ODBC Driver] Required connection information missing. Unable to connect. 

 

Resolution:

Verify in BEM (BBj Enterprise Manager ) that the USER is setting a password. Verify in the ODBC Data source configuration in Control Panel, ODBC Administrator that the same USER and PASSWORD is being passed. 

In the BEM, connect to the BBj Server, Click on the correct USER, Right click for Properties. 

In the BBj ODBC DRIVER Configuration in the ODBC Administrator: 

        PORT: 2001 
        USER NAME: john_s          
        PASSWORD: ******** 
        DATABASE: data_name
